Very nice place with lots of access to swimming in the creek and some nice trails. The twilight tunnel was fun especially for our 5 year old. She wanted to go back through several times. The bridges for crossing are a nice feature as well. Getting in and coming back out was a steep but trails are not bad after you get down to them.
Met a lady who was friends with the previous owners of the park. She explained that after the previous owners passing the park was given to the nearby city of Cullman. Its clear that Cullman wants little to do with it, but regardless the park maintains its beauty. The trail is about 3 miles long. There's plenty of good scenic areas to relax or take pictures at. Some of the trails are overgrown but nothing a machete cant handle. Some of the bridges could use some work as well. Its not a dangerous trail but Its not a easy one either. Personally I loved it, the more challenging the better but this trail gets a 4/5 because of the lack of a latrine and some maintenance needs to be done.
A nice hiking trail that's still wooded and not a carved out walking path. There were some steep climbs but my 7 year old daughter managed just fine.
. Check it out!
This is our families FAVORITE hiking point , thus far
An awesome place to go hiking and swimming and to have fun
There's nothing better. Water, well kept trails, waterfalls, isolated yet RIGHT off the main road
WARNING: THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS, COME PREPARED
